Come to our year-round residential school to care for children in a relaxed atmosphere where you can get to know the children you care for in a relaxed home-like atmosphere. The ideal candidate will be a licensed nurse, preferably an RN, who will work with Kurn Hattin staff to protect and promote the health of our children, ages 5-15, during the hours of 1:00 – 9:00PM, Monday through Friday. You will be a vital member of the Kurn Hattin community, playing a key role in providing health counseling to the children and staff on health issues that could interfere with residential living or effective learning.
The position is responsible for directly administering medications during the evening hours and for medication documentation and inventories. You will conduct school screenings and physical assessments. The afternoon and evening time will provide you with an opportunity to circulate throughout the campus and the residential cottages, supporting the residential staff and using health services as a means of direct and indirect teaching and learning. This will be important as you work collaboratively with all members of the child services team to support our children and their families.
Kurn Hattin provides a generous benefits package including health, dental, vision, life, and short term disability insurance. There is also paid time off and a retirement program.
Please submit a resume and references along with your cover letter telling us why you would like to become part of our dedicated team.
