Position Summary :
KVC is looking for a compassionate individual to transport children in foster care to appointments and family visits across the Kansas City Metro and East Regions.
The schedule varies, with early mornings, late nights, weekends, and short notice shifts required. You will need to work on call.
This position is based in Lawrence , KS. Most trips are within the child's local area, but some may be longer. You'll have access to a company vehicle for work-related travel.

$17.50 / hr. plus a $2,000 sign on bonus ($1,000 w / first paycheck and the second $1,000 after working with KVC for 6 months)Overtime is available
Requirements :
- Valid driver’s license
- Valid auto insurance
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Be able to work a flexible schedule
- Driving record acceptable per KVC’s Insurance Standards must be maintained
Essential Duties :
- Ensure the timely pick up of children entering foster care
- Provide a safe environment for children while in transit
- Provide on-time arrival for all transports
- Monitor and document child’s behavior and activities while in transit
- Ensure confidentiality
- Exhibit a high level of courtesy and professionalism
- Work effectively with co-workers in all KVC departments as well as external clients / customers
- Implement and follow all agency and department policies and procedures
- Maintain a valid driver’s license
- Maintain / complete all required forms and written reports
- Assist in the transfer of information and materials throughout the agency
- Attend required trainings
- Participate in staff meetings and other department functions
- Serve as a mandated reporter of suspected abuse / neglect
