Kwik Trip's Maintenance Department is looking for a self-motivated Ammonia Refrigeration Technician.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspect, Maintain and repair Industrial Ammonia Refrigeration Systems
- Execute system pump downs or isolations to facilitate opening, rebuilding, replacement, and repairs as needed.
- Conduct and analyze routine daily tasks such as equipment evaluations for proper operating parameters.
- Troubleshooting and assisting production departments with maintenance issues, and emergency cooling issues; both ammonia and HVAC.
- Teach / mentor other Technicians in advanced troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs.
- Complete PSM compliance paperwork
- Follow blueprints and diagrams to diagnose and complete repairs
- Read and comprehend code, regulations, manuals and procedures
Job Qualifications : Successful candidates should have a minimum of five years' experience operating and / or servicing industrial Ammonia Refrigeration Systems.
- Knowledge of ammonia systems with CARO and CIRO certification, or equivalent certifications with the ability to obtain CARO / CIRO.
- Knowledge of electricity, electrical motors, controls, and wiring to perform trouble shooting and repair duties.
- Skill to read and understand electrical, building, PID, and system / equipment blue prints, schematics, and diagrams.
- Ability to ensure all maintenance is completed to the required specifications and codes or regulations.
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers at all levels to communicate project scope and requirements
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and applicable codes or regulations.
- Knowledge of Maximo and Microsoft Office Programs.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Physical qualifications : stand up to 8 hours; lift-up to 100 pounds; bend, reach, and twist frequently; work in a variety of weather temperatures / conditions.
