Lead Person - Packaging Department

Description

The lead person is responsible for overseeing the daily functions of the Ribbon Room and reporting any issues or discrepancies to the Packing Manager. Must be a team player with a positive attitude and lead by example. Ensure company policies, procedures and brand standards are being followed. Must be accountable, reliable, and work with a sense of urgency. 

Duties/Responsibilities  

• Must meet daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal quotas for shipping and retail store orders
• Become proficient in identifying needs from production and/or the footing station daily and communicating to the production manager, lead footer and packing manager
• Ability to work as a team to meet company goals
• Ability to prioritize, assign and delegate jobs to other workers to meet company goals
• Train new and/or current employees to ensure the packaging is being done correctly and in a timely manner
• Assist with bi-weekly and/or monthly inventory of packaging materials in the packing room and/or packing storage area
• Cross-train in all areas of the Ribbon Room and other departments as the business dictates.
• Ensure cleanliness of workstation(s) and the department as a whole. At the end of each shift trash will be removed, floor swept, tabletops are cleaned and sanitized, workstation(s) are restocked with supplies.
• Flexibility to work long hours during seasonal peaks (especially Christmas season mid Nov-Dec 24th)
• Familiar with health, safety, and food standards
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines   
• Ability to work with a sense of urgency while continuing to produce high quality product
• Able to function well in a fast-paced and at times stressful environment
• Detailed oriented and commitment to precision presentation and packaging of the products
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and memorization imperative
• Ability to stand in one spot for long periods of time throughout a workday
• Positive attitude
• Must be thorough and organized  

Physical Requirements

• Comfortable standing for long periods of time
• Ability to lift 50#
• Must wear mask and hairnet
• Ability to perform repetitive task
