LA Cha Cha Cha in the Downtown Arts District is looking for Food Runners!
LA Cha Cha Cha is Mexico City's established restaurant group Grupo Palmares' first restaurant in the U.S. We are a Mexican restaurant located on a beautiful rooftop with a late night indoors bar.
Responsiblities:
A runner’s main priority is to provide support to the floor staff and the expediter. A runner’s main job function includes the following:
- Running accurate and complete dishes to the correct table and/or guest in a timely fashion
- Giving complete and confident drop lines with EVERY DISH, EVERY TIME
- Confidently answering questions about major ingredients in all dishes
- Maintaining Up-to-date knowledge of menu items including major components, unfamiliar ingredients, allergies and appropriate utensils for service
- Checking every table for correct and complete mise en place before allowing food to be dropped to the table
- Alerting station server (or manager) to any guest/table needs
- Assisting in plate and mise changes
- Alerting servers to any necessary table maintenance outside the scope of a runner’s capability
- Assisting in clearing unnecessary items (plates/glassware/etc.) from tables
- Communicating to all staff and managers low items or 86s (as communicated by chef/MOD)
- Assisting team with stocking and polishing of dishes and silver
- Acting as a liaison between kitchen management and servers
- Properly setting up and breaking down of runner station and completing other sidework
- Supporting team members in the completion of their duties to ensure satisfaction of all guests before, during, and after service
- Communicate all service issues and guest complaints to a manager
