Description
This position requires an individual with a team efficiency and creative customer orders. In a warehouse position the main priority is safety for you and teammates in the warehouse.
This job will require you to drive around the warehouse, loading trucks, auditing, re-packing, and using our machine to complete order for deliveries up and coming.
This class works under supervision to set procedures on how and when to complete tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities
The functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this position. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the position as necessary.
- Unloading returning trucks and load for the next day.
- Load pallets according to delivery schedule.
- Operate the Tygard machine and replenish when needed.
- Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
- Pick a minimum of cases daily and count stock items, and record data by voice command on a headset / cell
- Operate and inspect powered industrial equipment in the warehouse.
- Inspect each bottle or can; to make sure it is within the specifications of AB standards for repacking
- Create boxes using glue guns and label makers placing cleaned product inside and have it ready for the warehouse.
- Dispose of outdated beer and clean up spilled materials and cardboard when completed.
- Place repacked material back into the warehouse so it can be picked for orders.
- Staging of product to support delivery / shipping operations
- Verifying the outgoing product on pallets from the pick sheets.
- Checking the pallets are built stable before leaving the warehouse.
- Must use PPE to perform job safely when handling broken bottles.
- Must monitor hours based on operations and not exceeded what is requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned and assist in other areas as needed.
- High School Diploma or GED Certificate preferred; Minimum 1-year work experience in warehousing or manufacturing.
- Flexibility to work outside of normal shift hours to accommodate various employee schedules.
Required Knowledge and Abilities
- Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
- Strong team player and the ability to get along with co-workers.
- Good verbal / written communication skills, basic math skills, and ability to read documents in English, such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
Physical Demands
- Performs sedentary work that involves walking or standing some of the time and involves exerting up to 50 pounds of force on a regular and recurring basis or sustained keyboard operations.
- To help load / unload beer cases at events and at account locations.
Unavoidable Hazards (Work Environment) Involves routine and frequent exposure to :
Bright / dim light; Dusts and pollen. Extreme heat and / or cold; Wet or humid conditions. Extreme noise levels Vibration;
Fumes and / or noxious odors. Traffic Heights. Other extreme hazards not listed above.
Special Certifications and Licenses
- Must possess and maintain a valid state Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
- Must be able to pass criminal background and drug screen.
