Job Title: StormWater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) Writer.
Job Location: Home or Office in Lynwood, CA 90262
Position Type: Full Time
Compensation: Salary Up to TBD based on candidate’s related experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop a stormwater pollution prevention plan (SWPPP) or revise an existing SWPPP for StormWater NOVs (Notice of Violations) using the field technician’s site assessment
- Ability to successfully manage a large volume and work under deadline
- Trouble-shoot BMP issues related to the new Permit requirements and compliance
- Verify site compliance with SWPPP, diagrams, and monitoring records as required by the IGP
- SMARTS navigation and utilization, it’s a MUST.
Successful Candidates Should Have:
- 2 years of Industrial Storm Water experience preferred
- Familiarity with the state’s SMARTS system
- Strong MS Word, SMART Draw, Google Earth, researching skills, and map interpretation
- Knowledgeable with the new Industrial General Permit (IGP)
- Familiarity with industrial facilities and plans
- Familiarity with field sampling equipment and procedures
- Ability to successfully manage and complete a large volume of work under deadline
- Excellent writing, note taking, and communication skills
- Must be self-directed, hard-working and a team player
- Must have a valid California Driver’s License with a clean driving record
- Associate’s Degree required and in a related field is preferred.
