The Specialist, Program Finance Analyst is responsible for the financial management, review and estimating of assigned programs. They partner with program management teams to analyze and understand their financial position. The analyst will prepare monthly financial reports, verify actual cost reporting, provide variance analysis, and support monthly closing activities.

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for managing, preparing, administering, and directing the control of the budget for large and/or complex programs.
• Performs analyses and prepares reports in order to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines.
• Prepares budgets and schedules for contract work and performs and/or assists in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis.
• Conducts detailed financial analysis.
• Interprets and implements most proposal estimating, pricing and documentation requirements.
• Reviews and approves recommendations for financial planning and control.
• Monitors program adherence to approved budget.
• Creation, management and financial tracking to support customer driven EVMS reporting requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience
• Solid understanding of accounting and finance principles, as well as familiarity with DFAR, FAR and CAS.
• Excellent communications skills (written, verbal, and presentation)
• Strong sense of initiative, independence, closure, and ability to navigate multiple priorities in a tight-deadline, high-volume environment
• Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized
• Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Knowledge of EVMS processes

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Knowledge and hands-on application of Deltek Costpoint modules (i.e., Project Revenue and Costs, General Ledger, Materials Management, and Inventory Management)
