Job Description:

L3Harris Space Superiority Division is looking for a Director, Program Management to lead the BMC2 Portfolio within the Space Superiority Division. The Program Management Director is responsible for overall program management and is accountable for program execution, customer satisfaction, and financial performance. This position will have a direct interface with customers, suppliers, and stakeholder leadership. The role includes responsibility for guiding L3Harris’ employees in their work and influencing them to deliver their best and to act within the L3Harris corporate values. The key responsibilities include:

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for leading a team of 10 or more Program Managers and the programs they are managing including Career Development, Succession Planning, Performance Management, and Coaching and Mentoring
• Responsible for high-level relationship management
• Responsible for customer satisfaction, maintaining customer communication, and the overall management of the customer relationship
• Responsible for managing the cost, schedule, and technical performance requirements of multiple programs through all phases from inception to completion
• Direct the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budget, and financial terms/conditions of contracts
• Ensure that all resources such as engineering, manpower, production, and facilities are available to support the program
• Coordinate and support development of tactical and strategic business growth strategy for the portfolio
• Involved in defining program parameters or guiding internal research and development efforts in assigned field
• Work with customers to determine needs, requirements, and new business opportunities
• Direct the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing, and administrative areas
• Solve highly complex problems with significant business impact
• Interact internally with leaders and customers on significant business matters and partners with functional leadership towards success and continuous improvement
• Develop, communicate, and execute to meet financial forecasts
• Participate in overall marketing strategies and business planning in support of L3Harris initiatives and strategic corporate business pursuits as required
• Lead and support planning for and involvement in applicable trade shows

Qualifications:

• Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Management, or a technical discipline and 15 years of prior related experience. Or, Graduate Degree with 13 year of prior related experience
• Experience leading agile SW development programs, different agile methodologies acceptable
• 4 years of experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)
• 4 years of direct leadership experience
• 10 years of related experience in engineering or program management

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Experience planning, organizing, and directing
• Objective thinker, problem solver with ability to execute challenging tasks to completion
• Previous ownership of P&L responsibilities
• Capture management experience
• Development program experience including experience using Earned Value Management System (EVMS) within a development program
• Familiarity with Sustainment programs
• Ability to manage and grow IDIQ contracts
• Active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph
