Job Title: Administrative Assistant and Communications Coordinator
Employment Status: Full-Time, 40 hours/week, Hourly; Non-exempt
Compensation: $25 to 28/hour, depending on experience
Schedule: M-F 9AM- 5PM

Reports To: Executive Director of Business Administration
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: To serve the church by providing administrative support for programs and events. Manage a non-financial database ensuring accuracy and timeliness of data.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide administrative support for church operations
- Coordinate administrative support for events and outreach activities
- Maintain and manage an extensive database of participants, groups, events, etc…
- Prepare communications and promotional materials, brochures, signage, programs, handouts, and bulletins for events
- Maintain photographic documentation for use in publications
- Communicate and coordinate with church partners regarding events, publications, etc.
- Provide communications via different media (Constant Contact, LCPC website, etc.)
- Ensure information centers and display racks have attractive, up-to-date information
- Schedule meetings on master calendar as needed
- Utilize volunteers whenever possible and ensure cross training
- Track registrations and payments for events
- Develop and manage mailing lists
- Assist with clerical duties to support special projects/assignments
- Maintain a strict level of confidentiality in all aspects of the job
- Fulfill other departmental and church-related duties and responsibilities as requested
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
- Commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and a devotion to God
- Ability to fully embrace the mission, vision and values of LCPC
- Familiarity with or willingness to learn about the ministries of the church
- Proficiency in computer programs such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher, Adobe, InDesign, Illustrator, Web Browsing and the ability to learn others
- Experience in various media developing promotional materials such as web, print, digital and Constant Contact and ability to learn others
- Experience and strong skills with the Shelby database or a similar database program preferred
- Experience in recruiting and motivating volunteers, communicating project goals and encouraging volunteers toward fulfillment of stated goals
- Excellent organizational, time management and prioritization skills with the ability to multitask
- Excellent oral and written communication and relational skills
- Ability to lead promotional events
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
