Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse to join our team. As a Psychiatric Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing care and support to patients with mental health conditions. Duties
- Perform initial psychiatric evaluation for consumers
- Perform follow-up services to consumers
- Perform offsite assessments as needed at various La Familia Del Paso locations
- Assign and monitor medications for consumers
- Conducting physical examinations and assessments of patients
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
- Providing counseling and emotional support to patients and their families
- Assisting with crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
- Monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary
- Educating patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies
- Documenting patient information accurately and maintaining confidentiality
- All documentation/progress notes will need to be completed within 24 hours of providing services
```Qualifications`` `
- Valid nursing license
- Experience in acute care or psychiatric nursing preferred
- Knowledge of psychopharmacology and medication management
- Familiarity with ICD-9 coding for accurate documentation and billing purposes
- Ability to perform physical examinations and basic life support procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Compassion, empathy, and a non-judgmental approach to patient care
