We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist with Accounts Payable (AP) experience to join us. This role offers a blend of on-site and remote work, providing flexibility and a balanced work-life dynamic.
Location: Voorhees, NJ (2 days on-site, 3 days remote)
Pay Rate: $30 - $35 per hour
Job Description:
As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for accurately processing payroll and managing accounts payable functions. Your expertise in payroll processing, coupled with your AP experience, will ensure that our financial operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Manage all aspects of accounts payable, including invoice processing, payment runs, and vendor communication.
- Maintain and update payroll records, including employee information, deductions, and adjustments.
- Handle payroll-related inquiries and provide exceptional customer service to employees.
- Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare payroll reports as needed.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist, Payroll Administrator, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes, laws, and regulations.
- Experience with accounts payable processes and procedures.
- Proficiency in payroll software; experience with UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
