We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Revenue Cycle Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of revenue cycle processes. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our revenue cycle operations. Ideally looking for someone with previous AR and Billing experience.
Salary: $32-$34 per hour
Location: Philadelphia, PA - 3 days on-site 2 remote after training
Responsibilities:
- Promote department goals by selecting, motivating, and training capable team members.
- Manage the team through streamlined improvement initiatives to ensure high effectiveness.
- Lead and guide team members to achieve department objectives.
- Supervise, hire, train, discipline, and evaluate staff; ensure timely completion of performance appraisals.
- Routinely audit work output to ensure compliance with unit expectations and processes.
- Train new employees on department policies, procedures, processes, and applicable information systems.
- Inform staff of changes in policies, procedures, processes, systems, and regulatory laws and requirements.
- Partner with the Revenue Cycle Manager to deliver corrective action as necessary and mentor direct reports.
- Stay current on reimbursement terms/conditions, departmental procedures, and applicable payer regulations.
- Plan and prioritize schedules, assign and monitor work to optimize operational service.
- Implement operating policies and procedures; analyze, recommend, implement, and monitor approved workflow changes.
- Gather department metrics and prepare reports for management review; maintain attendance and payroll records and process time-off requests.
- Recommend procedural and system changes to improve processes, operational quality, and efficiency.
- Actively participate in process improvement projects.
- Perform related duties as required. All responsibilities noted here are considered essential functions of the job under the Revenue Cycle Department.
Qualifications:
- Expert knowledge of the Electronic Medical Records including the Practice Management System are required.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel is preferred.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to foster an environment that nurtures collaboration, teamwork, and mutual respect
- Knowledge of billing requirements of Medicare, Medicaid insurances, Commercial payers, and government entities.
- Minimum of four (4) years of billing experience in a medical setting, FQHC preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years of Supervisor experience in medical setting, FQHC preferred.
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) and/or Certified Professional Biller (CPB) preferred.
- Experience with OCHIN EPIC EMR
