Hotel Reservations Agent

La Mer Beachfront Resort is looking for talented Hospitality Professionals to join our Reservations team!

Job Responsibilities:

• Make and confirm hotel reservations.
• Call guests to inform them of hotel packages, special offers, upcoming events, etc.
• Inform guests of hotel amenities and offerings.
• Be informed and up-to-date on all types of room accommodation and availability.
• Communicate with housekeeping, maintenance and restaurant staff as necessary.
• Provide local information on restaurants, special sites, activities, etc.
• Notify management of any serious issues that you cannot resolve.
• Take and deliver messages for guests.
• Perform various clerical tasks as needed (sorting mail, paper filing, etc.)

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Previous experience in customer service is required; previous hospitality industry experience is preferred.
• Experience using property management systems; OPERA is preferred.
• Computer literate and proficient using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrated strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Personable and outgoing when dealing with guests.
• Professional phone demeanor.
• Ability to maintain calm, polite, and patient in stressful situations.
• Ability to connect with guests and consistently give them a positive customer experience.
• Ability to work flexible hours in a 24 x 7 operation; including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to use hands and fingers to handle or feel
• Ability to frequently bend, climb, kneel, and move about the facility.
• Must have ability to communicate both orally and in writing to guests and members of the staff.
