La Salle Academy is a Catholic, college preparatory school, sponsored by the Brothers of the Christian Schools (De La Salle Christian Brothers). Located in Providence, RI for nearly 150 years, La Salle Academy currently serves a diverse student body of approximately 1,500 students from grades 6 through 12. The majority of students live in the 39 cities and towns of Rhode Island or in southeastern Massachusetts.
Role Focus:
The primary focus of the Marketing Coordinator is to assist the Director of Marketing & Communications in the efficient operation of the School’s marketing functions across all constituencies. The Marketing Coordinator will work with Development, alumni, current students, athletics, the arts, and various other departments to provide a robust and consistent marketing program. The position will manage the day-to-day of the School’s various social media platforms including making posts, tracking results, and interacting as appropriate. The position operates under the Marketing Office, reports to the Director of Marketing & Communication and is a full-time 12 month per year position.
Typical Education and Experience:
The ideal candidate will hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related discipline with 5 years of progressive experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in an educational or other non-profit environment a plus. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Social Media Platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, et al) required.
Overview of Responsibilities:
- Works closely with the Development Office on the production of the President’s Report & Alumni Magazine, Alumni News publications, and bi-weekly E-Newsletters
- Manages the day-to-day operating of the School’s social media channels
- Assists in the oversight and implementation of the student and parent ambassador/outreach programming
- Maintains historical record of all official media releases
- Assists in establishing the annual public relations calendar
- Oversees the Marketing & Communications Internship program, including faculty moderator and students
- Attends and helps promote all major school events across all offices and departments, some of which occur outside normal office hours
- Maintains the school website with updated events, photos, and information
- Assist in the production and distribution of promotional materials such as videos, print ads, and digital ads
- Collaborates with various school offices to help meet marketing and promotional needs such as production of flyers, news postings, etc
- Manages the school’s generic marketing email addresses
- Other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth operation of the Marketing Office
Typical Level of Interaction:
The position requires frequent interaction and communication with all School constituents while completing necessary duties. This will be both in formal office/classroom setting but also informal settings such as student events and gatherings.
Supervisory Impact:
This position will assist the Director of Marketing & Communications in management of the marketing internship moderator and students.
