Job Summary:
LA Semiconductor is the newest US Owned and Operated, Fully Operational, Pure-Play Semiconductor Foundry for Analog, Mixed Signal, and Power Products. LA Semiconductor is seeking a self-driven and motivated professional to join the Procurement team, located in Pocatello, Idaho. As Procurement Team Buyer, you will have the opportunity integrate and execute new procurement systems and reporting tools to help drive the supply chain & procurement performance for a Semiconductor Manufacturing Company. You will lead and manage the procurement activities of commodities & suppliers, centered around cost, delivery, and supplier quality performance. Duties & Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to:
· Responsible for supplier & commodity strategy and process improvement, to ensure availability of critical direct and indirect materials for manufacturing; enable & drive redundancy in supply chain to minimize risk.
· Collaborate on commodity and supplier metrics, goals, and business reviews with stakeholders and cross-functional teams
· Establish KPI’s and metrics for assigned suppliers & commodities, focused on cost, lead time, supplier quality, and supplier performance.
· Manage supplier and item master data, purchase order execution, expediting, and other tasks in the day-to-day management of obtaining finished goods.
· Solve problems daily tied to the supply chain market and reduce total cost of ownership spend to the fab.
· Monitor & manage open purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery & awareness of expedite requirements based upon Fab demand or stock level & usage rate.
· Be an analytical thinker with the ability to use multiple resources to help create & drive both tactical and strategic cost-saving initiatives; create forecasts, model trends, and use analytics for decision making and strategic planning.
· Identifies & develops new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are no longer competitive
· Drives continuous improvement within the procurement and supply chain systems, to generate process, cost, and resource efficiencies. Serve as process leader for issue triage, regarding procurement support in conjunction with accounts payable/invoicing
· Partner with legal and stakeholders to manage RFQ/RFP and negotiate/create supplier contracts to minimize risk and maximize value. Negotiate supply agreements and onboard new suppliers as needed.
· Partner with the operations, planning, and inventory teams to ensure supply meets demand need.
· Establish key supplier management strategy to understand capabilities, market trends, and identify new approaches to enable opportunity for stakeholders to drive cost and performance efficiencies.
· Oversee and manage key supplier quality performance; arranges for the return, credit, or replacement of non-conforming materials and holds suppliers accountable to root cause corrective measures.
· Builds strong relationships and collaboratively interact with stakeholders, finance, cross-functional teams, and external supplier contacts – build strategy, roadmaps, and critical relationships that facilitate success
Required Skills & Abilities:
· 5 years’ work experience in purchasing or supply chain; desired focus in semiconductor industry
· Experience with MRP/ERP Systems like Oracle, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics
· Experience with business intelligence reporting tools, such as Excel, PowerBI, or Tableau
· Superb organizational skills with strong multi-tasking abilities
· Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
· Strong written and verbal skills
· Understands Procurement and Supply Chain in a manufacturing environment
· CPSM, CSCP, CPIM, or other certification is a plus
Education Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or Equivalent
