POSITION OVERVIEW
FP&A provides weekly reporting of financial results and leads the ongoing forecasting of financial results on a monthly, quarterly, and seasonal basis. FP&A works closely with senior management, all functional areas of the business, and Center functions. FP&A produces both regularly scheduled analysis of business results, as well as ad-hoc analyses to evaluate continuous improvement opportunities.
The Manager, FP&A, will be responsible for initiating complex financial analysis, synthesizing detailed information, and preparing executive level presentations. The Manager will own monthly forecasting and reporting for multiple P&L line items for the business. The position is expected to perform ad hoc analysis on a regular basis, lead in special projects, create and develop presentation materials for executive leadership, and continuously identify opportunities for process improvements. The position will report to the department head in the Columbus, Ohio headquarters.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Manager must have strong analytical and teamwork skills while also possessing the ability to:
• Create and analyze financial reports
• Develop financial models and reports that are flexible, accurate, and clearly present key findings and assumptions
• Responsible for preparing and updating the forecast on a monthly basis
• Play a key role in seasonal budget process including financial models and preparation of decks for senior leadership
• Participate in the monthly Financial Close process
• Identifies and maintains KPI’s to help manage and forecast the business
• Develop strong cross functional partnerships with business partners and provide excellent customer service to internal partners
• Lead others and work successfully in matrixed environment
• Clearly articulate and present ideas, explanations, and analytical findings
• Maintain strong internal controls
• Independently solve problems
• Meet deadlines and handle multiple objectives in a fast-paced environment
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
• Advanced degree, CPA or MBA an asset but not required
• Minimum 6 years of relevant financial analysis or accounting experience
• Leadership skills and strong interest in advancement
• Excellent team building skills
• Strong PC skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
• Retail experience a plus
