Reporting to the Accounting Manager of La Senza, the Staff Accountant offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment in the retail industry. The successful candidate must possess solid accounting education and experience, along with strong analytical and general ledger knowledge. The primary responsibilities will be to assist in all detailed general ledger accounting functions.
This is a Columbus, OH Office based position.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The Staff Accountant’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Collaborate and create great connections with key roles of the business for smooth and continuous improvement of operational and financial aspects of the business
- Assisting in the day to day general accounting activities related to the monthly, quarterly and annual closes:
- Preparing journal entries by compiling and analyzing account information
- Drafting accruals associated with key accounts
- Partner with the FP&A Manager and review key drivers of the results
- Reconciling accounts and analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts.
- Provide support for financial year-end closures and audits
- Execute ad hoc requests from internal and external partners

You must have …
- Accounting or Finance Degree
- Minimum 1 year of Accounting experience, ideally within a Retail environment
- Proficiency working in Excel required
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills
- Strong analytical and detail-oriented background
- MD 365 experience a plus
- Ability to interact with all levels of the organization
