Job Summary:
JOB SUMMARY:
Provides in store maintenance and upkeep inside and outside of our facility. This includes cleaning and small repair/painting of walls, doors, etc.. Must be okay on a tall ladder as you will be required to replace and readjust lighting and dust vents and ducts. Must possess a valid drivers license and be able to regularly lift 50 pounds. Safe movement and loading of furniture is required. Some after delivery service to our customers to address any concerns with their product may be required as well.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties as assigned):
- Partners with store personnel to maintain showroom cleanliness and presentation. Assists in moving inventory safely and may be required to help with customer product concerns.
- Maintains all assigned company owned assets including service vehicle, (maintenance and cleaning), cell phone, laptop, tools, reporting any concerns to Operations Supervisor immediately.
- Manages expenses related to tools and supplies and vehicle maintenance. Responsible for submitting timely expense reports with accurate information, if needed.
SCOPE & IMPACT:
This position has direct contact with our customer base and is responsible for maintaining the presentation and safety of our sales floor, customer, employee, and storage areas. May be customer facing for small repairs on merchandise and the quality of repair/resolution, may impact customer service level metrics (e.g., repeat visit counts, first time fix rate, next available service, etc). The Porter must also possess the necessary soft skills to effectively communicate with customers while representing La-Z-Boy in a positive light.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or GED with 2-4 years of relevant experience or equivalent
- Valid US issued driver's license
- Commercial cleaning and maintenance experience is helpful
- Maintain acceptable driving record that meets company expectations.
- Previous in-home repair or installation experience would be a plus
- Local Daily Travel required: Up to 10%
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions. Often required to sit, hear, listen, talk, stand, bend, kneel, squat, pull, push, lift up to 30 pounds. Seldom required to use repetitive hand motion (such as typing), walk, stoop, climb stairs or ladders, crouch, balance, reach overhead, and lift over 50 pounds.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
