Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lighting Technician to join our team. As a Lighting Technician, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining lighting equipment for various events and productions. This is a crucial role in creating the desired atmosphere and enhancing the overall visual experience for our clients and audiences.
Duties:
- Install, set up, and operate lighting equipment such as spotlights, stage lights, and special effects lighting
- Collaborate with production teams to understand lighting requirements and design concepts
- Program and control lighting consoles to create desired lighting effects
- Rig and hang lighting fixtures according to safety guidelines
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of lighting equipment
- Ensure proper storage and organization of lighting equipment
- Assist in the planning and execution of load-ins, load-outs, and rehearsals
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations during setup, operation, and tear-down
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Lighting Technician or similar role in the entertainment industry
- In-depth knowledge of lighting equipment, techniques, and control systems
- Proficient in programming lighting consoles (e.g., ETC Eos family)
- Familiarity with DMX protocols and signal flow
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and safety procedures
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
