Job Title: Electrical Designer
Department: Office Operations
Reports To: VP of Design Engineering

Essential Function:
- Lead various electrical project designs including electrical schematics, electrical power systems, lighting systems, protection and controls. Electrical schematics include:
- Schematic Diagrams.
- Wiring diagrams (Point-to-Point)
- Standard Block diagrams.
- Pictorial wiring diagrams.
- Follow all company, client and project design and drafting standards.
- Responsibilities include ensuring that the electrical systems design comply with all applicable installation codes, regulations, and standards.
- Lead a variety of assignments using prescribed methods and standard techniques including drawing sequence and presentation, sizing various system components and refining rough sketches.
- Lead the evaluation of electrical designs or sketches and redlines or mark-ups on ongoing projects for quality assurance.
- Approve reports, drawings, and tests to plan and lead design projects to meet deliverables.
- Approve design codes and specifications related to design requirements.
- Lead production of electrical design drawings within scope, budget and schedule. Perform project tasks and assignments within budget and deadlines as it relates to electrical design,
- Compute calculations for conduit/grounding layouts, equipment and panel wiring diagrams, and relay panel schematics under the partnership of the drafting and layout departments.
- Incorporate schedules, budgets and project criteria into electrical design and layouts to meet project financial goals.
- Responsible for the quality review of all revisions of project drawings, plot files and project-related information in a logical and well-structured manner.
- Train, mentor, and develop less experienced drafting, detailing and design staff members where applicable.
- Responsible for the electrical design QA/QC process adherence.
Minimum Background, Experience, and Requirements:
- Must be proficient in AutoCad, and SolidEdge or another brand of 3D CAD software.
- 3 – 5 years Electrical schematic experience
- Proficient in MS Office software suite
- Strong organizational skills
- Good administrative, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to work as an individual contributor and a team player.
- Reliable, good work ethic, and high integrity.
