We’re looking for an Agile Project Manager to facilitate the product and software development cycle within our Scrum teams. We work in small, cross-functional Scrum teams, and your goal will be to work with Product Managers, Engineers, Product Designers, QA, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure that the stories in our backlogs are both aligned with our priorities and actionable. This means coordinating and facilitating the agile planning process, ensuring that the team is aligned on requirements and tasks for upcoming sprints, as well as being responsible for team and process efficiencies.
What you will be doing:
Facilitate the agile product development process on the Scrum team. Lead sprint ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, backlog groomings, sprint plannings, and retrospectives.
Promote collaboration between Engineers, Product Managers, and Designers to break complex problems down into requirements and actionable deliverables.
Ensure backlog and requirements are prioritized and that there is transparency on goals for upcoming sprints and product releases. Work across Scrum teams to identify risks and dependencies for releases.
Develop and maintain a solid understanding of our technology in order to bridge the gap between product and business needs and technical feasibility.
Be a reliable and relentless advocate for the Scrum team - do what it takes to unblock them and set them up to succeed on a daily basis.
Take ownership and initiative when it comes to team processes. Work with internal stakeholders and other Project Managers to identify opportunities for process improvements, better tooling, and act as an advocate for agile best practices.
What we are looking for:
2 years of experience working on an agile software development team, ideally 1-2 years in a Scrum Master/Project Manager role.
General technical understanding of mobile software development is a big plus.
Strong experience with standard agile software development and tools - e.g. Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, etc.)
Excellent verbal and written communicator. Ability to communicate goals and priorities across cross-functional teams, and advocate for clear documentation wherever possible.
Ability to be proactive, move quickly when needed, and help the team come to pragmatic, practical solutions, while still maintaining a best-in-class user experience.
What we offer:
We believe in Ovia Health’s mission and love what we do, and working at Ovia Health is a chance to be a part of something truly impactful. We value our employees tremendously and do what we can to help them stay happy and healthy, at work and away from it. In addition to a supportive and healthy environment, we offer:
Flexible work schedule
Generous parental leave
Small, dynamic and tight-knit teams that encompass a supportive and collaborative atmosphere
Employer contribution to 401k with immediate vesting plan
Company provided MacBook Pro
Unlimited Paid vacation and sick leave
Ability to be fully office-optional; when in the office we have an open, fresh, cubicle-free office space, along with healthy and tasty office snacks, including coffee (cold brew on tap)
Medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage, as well as many other wellness-centered benefits
We actively seek to reflect the community that we serve, and so individuals of all genders, race, sexual orientation, nationality, ability, veteran status, and educational background are strongly encouraged to apply. Our team is diverse, compassionate, empathetic, supporting and accepting of all people.
