What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director Business Development Compliance position at Labcorp?
- The position serves as the RCM Compliance point of contact for new and different business strategies for Labcorp
- Extensive knowledge in all aspects of Laboratory Revenue Cycle Management, work strategically, proactively, and collaboratively to align desired acquisition structure to systems capabilities, policies and compliance to identify/mitigate risk and ensure positive outcomes
- Engage in diligence process for target acquisitions including evaluation of billing processes for compliance, policy, HIPAA standards and regulatory requirements
- Provides counseling and support to Labcorp Strategic Development, Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), Divisional, Functional and RCM Leadership
- Provide RCM Compliance advisory services for mergers and acquisitions (M&A), strategic business models and new products, target groups or test launches
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in revenue cycle management policy and compliance during potential acquisition diligence or strategic business model design
- Ensures that appropriate and consistent billing and reimbursement policies and procedures are considered and evaluated during diligence
- Support and influence potential acquisition structure based on laboratory billing compliance, HIPAA standards and payer policies
- Provide guidance related to acquisition structure, integration, and branding
- Ensures compliance with regulations, laboratory billing and collections policies in order to facilitate attainment of business goals for acquired and organic growth
- Work with RCM Business Leaders and other Divisional and Functional leaders to establish credibility and build problem-solving partnerships
- Represent RCM on the Laboratory Advisory Counsel, participate on weekly calls with Senior Executives, alerting of risk or business considerations impacted by Policy, Compliance, and Laboratory Enrollment
- Monitor payor websites and bulletins to stay abreast of policy changes that relate to billing and collections.
- Stays abreast of and complies with all state and federal laws including HIPAA
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required and Master's Degree Preferred, Nursing, Political Science, CPC beneficial
- Expert knowledge and understanding of laboratory revenue cycle processes, NPI enumeration, HIPAA standards, policy and compliance for multiple brands/entities.
- Extensive knowledge and direct experience with diagnostic laboratory of billing for multiple entity/TINs, HIPAA standards, reference lab and policy related billing requirements (NCCI, TC/PC and OPDOS).
- Excellent understanding of Federal, State, and local compliance standards for diagnostic clinical laboratory
- Knowledge of financial principles and relevant federal and state laboratory billing, collections and documentation guidelines
- Ability to build collaborative relationships with stakeholders and diverse, cross-functional teams/organizations
- This position will apply strong planning, organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to operate in both strategic and tactical environments, accommodating a variety of potential acquisition structures
- Ability to deliver high-quality time-sensitive complex projects in a structured, disciplined and cross-functional manner
- High degree of self-imposed accountability and integrity
- High energy leader, detail-oriented and results-driven self-starter with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, navigating through ambiguity while balancing multiple priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills

Pay Range: $110,000 - $120,000
