What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Labor Rocket?
Shift: 6:30 am - 3:00 pm Monday- Friday with the occasional Saturday
Pay:$25 - 31/hr
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for maintaining, setting up, and operating production equipment, demonstrating proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment failures.
- Utilize MIG welder, TIG welder, vertical/horizontal band saws, bridge port mill, and lathe for fabricating purposes.
- Update and complete both preventative and non-preventative work orders to ensure the seamless operation of machinery.
- Engage in the fabrication of parts and equipment to meet production requirements.
- Respond promptly to service calls, inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair machine problems, determining the appropriate corrective action.
- Demonstrate expertise in troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), with a preference for knowledge of Allen Bradley systems.
- Maintain an organized parts inventory for common replaceable items and consistently update daily records using JAC Products computer maintenance management software (CMMS).
Experience and Qualifications:
- Possess a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in industrial repair or maintenance.
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of machine and equipment PLCs.
- Proficient in the use of various types of tools, including volt-meters and equipment necessary for manual, electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic tasks.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills to effectively address maintenance issues and collaborate with team members.
