Shift: Monday- Saturday 6:00am-4:30pm
Job Summary:The Manual Bridgeport Operator holds responsibility for setting up and operating manual Bridgeport machines to craft parts. This role involves analyzing part drawings, determining tooling requirements, adhering to machining sequences, ensuring product compliance with specifications, and maintaining a safe, organized work environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conducts all assigned machine shop operations.
- Identifies and reports defective materials or irregular conditions to management.
- Upholds cleanliness and safety protocols in the work area and equipment.
- Regularly performs milling, turning, drilling, and tapping tasks.
- Inspects machined products and maintains detailed documentation of results.
- Completes necessary paperwork for parts.
Qualifications:Successful candidates must possess:
- Strong oral and written communication skills for effective interaction with management and team members.
- Aptitude in anticipating and resolving technical problems with strong troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency in communication, mathematical, mechanical, and technical abilities.
- Excellent time management skills.
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or graduation from a certified technical school (preferred).
- Proven experience as a Bridgeport/Machinist (2 years).
- Familiarity with production procedures.
- Physical strength and stamina, with the ability to lift parts weighing up to 50 pounds.
