Paint Prep
To clean/prep or repair defects on a bare metal surface with the use of body filler and seam sealer before the painting process in a production line setting.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Identify defects to repair.
· Mix/apply body filler.
· Clean welds free of splatter
· Apply seam sealer per work directions.
· Ensure quality at the source per standard operations.
· Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean environment.
· Comply with all company safety and environmental regulations.
· Maintain a strong, personal commitment to the safety culture.
· All other duties assigned.
Qualifications
· Basic Knowledge of paint preparation is preferred but not required.
· Able to multitask.
· Safety mindset
· Focus on quality.
· Ability to stand, walk the entire shift, reach within hands and arm’s length, stoop, kneel
and crouch.
· Ability to regularly lift and move up to 40 pounds.
· Ability to wear safety PPE such as respirators, gloves and safety glasses.
· Additional overtime may be required.

Education: High School Diploma or GED
Previous manufacturing experience required
Must be physically capable of repetitive lifting, standing entire shift, bending at waist and knees, and twisting to perform job duties. Should be comfortable performing repetitive assembly duties to specific quality standards. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Must be willing to work daily overtime and weekends as needed.
Schedule:
1st shift - Monday through Friday with overtime as needed
3rd Shift - Sunday through Thursday with overtime as needed and $3 an hour shift diff
