What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse associate position at LACOSTA Facility Support Services?
Warehouse Associates
Job Schedule : Monday-Friday, plus every other Saturday
- 1st Shift : 7AM-3PM
- 2nd Shift : 3PM-11PM
- 3rd Shift : 11PM-7AM (Current Opening)
Pay Rate : Paid weekly (every Friday)
$17.25-18.50 / hr
Job duties :
- Correctly stacks cases of finished product onto the proper pallets.
- Operates case taper loading and troubleshooting as necessary.
- Creates SAP labels for cases and pallets and applies them in designated locations.
- Utilizes the hand scanner to record case pallet assignments.
- Operates shrink wrap machine.
- Maintains work area in a safe manner.
- Performs other related duties to contribute to the success of the operation as assigned by supervision.
Requirements :
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to perform simple calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division) and applies good mathematical reasoning.
- Ability to lift upwards to 50lbs up to a level of 6ft high multiple times per day.
- Required to wear steel-toed shoes, bump cap, hair net, ear plugs and safety glasses in manufacturing area.
Work Environment :
- The noise level in the work environment is consistently above 85 decibels.
- Dust from paper converting process constantly present
- Wear specialty gloves when handling waste to prevent cuts to hands.
- The employee constantly works near moving mechanical parts and lift trucks.
- The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or vapors or hazardous products such as degreasers and silicone sprays.
- Ambient temp and humidity may be elevated during the summer months.
