Job Posting for Library Technician at Ladgov Corporation
Job Title: Library Technician Location: Justice Management Division (JMD) Libraries, U.S. Department of Justice, Washington, D.C. Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
Qualifications:
An Associate degree in Library Science or related field; relevant certifications such as Library Technical Assistant (LTA) preferred.
Previous experience working in a library setting, particularly in cataloging, circulation, or digitization.
Duties:
Shelving and organizing library materials to maintain an orderly collection.
Checking in and checking out materials at the circulation desk.
Processing new materials including labeling, covering, and entering into the library system.
Assisting patrons with locating materials and answering general inquiries.
Supporting digitization projects and maintaining electronic files.
Conducting minor repairs on books and other library materials.
Performing routine maintenance of library equipment.
