DUTIES :
- Conducting rehearsals prior to services or performances
- Performing as part of a worship team, leading congregational singing, playing an instrument, or providing vocals
- Training and supervising other musicians in the church
- Organizing and maintaining music libraries containing scores, recordings, and other materials used in church services
- Leasing and maintaining equipment such as pianos and organs
- Practicing with choir prior to services, and providing rehearsals for musicians/choir
- Shall have a minimum of 1 year experience as a volunteer or paid position in a church setting working directly with church musicians, directors and choirs
- Shall have bachelor’s in Music or a combination of education (music education, performance, or theory) and experience in a professional setting equaling no less than three (3) years.
- Must be able to play the following instruments: organ and piano.
- Must be able to sight-read music and play a variety of music to include but not limited to traditional (preludes, meditative instrumentals, postludes, praise choruses, congregational hmns, and classical music selections).
