Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Roll Off Driver to join our team. As a Roll Off Driver, you will be responsible for operating a roll off truck to transport and deliver various materials to designated locations. This is a physically demanding role that requires heavy lifting and the ability to operate commercial vehicles.
Duties:
- Safely drive and operate a roll off truck to transport materials
- Load and unload materials onto the truck using mechanical equipment
- Ensure all materials are securely fastened and properly loaded for transportation
- Follow designated routes and schedules for timely delivery
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the vehicle
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
- Provide exceptional customer service by interacting professionally with clients
Skills:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements
- Proven experience operating roll off trucks, rear loader trucks, dump trucks, or tractor-trailers
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual labor as required
- Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance on the vehicle
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record
- Ability to navigate using GPS or other routing systems
- Strong communication skills to interact with clients in a professional manner
