Expanded Functions Dental Assistant

Ligonier Family Dentistry is seeking an experienced and dedicated Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities:

• Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for dental procedures
• Take and develop dental X-rays
• Provide exceptional chairside assistance to the dentist
• Ensure the comfort of patients throughout their dental visit
• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
• Follow infection control and safety protocols in accordance with regulatory guidelines

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Dental Assistant
• Graduation from an accredited dental assisting program
• X-ray certification and proficiency
• Strong knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
• Proficient in taking dental impressions and pouring models
• Familiarity with dental software and record-keeping systems
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
• Commitment to providing exceptional patient care
