The Lake County Clerk of Court's Office is accepting applications for:
Deputy Clerk of Court

QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess at least two years of office experience including grammatical, spelling, typing, filing, mathematical, and oral and written communication skills; must be able to operate office equipment, follow instructions and procedures, organize and prioritize work projects, work independently, provide excellent customer service, work well under pressure, and establish effective working relationships. The successful applicant will become knowledgeable of general office practices and procedures, legal terminology, legal forms and documents, and bookkeeping and recordkeeping;
DUTIES: File documents; maintain court dockets and calendars; collect and record filing fees, child support payments, supervision fees, and fines; issue marriage licenses; search for and make certified copies of legal documents; prepare reports; take, write, and distribute court minutes, maintain exhibits, administer oaths to witnesses and jurors in preparation of the courtroom; perform clerk's duties during clerk's absence; adhere to standards of confidentiality, and perform other duties as assigned.
HOURS/DAYS: Office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday - Friday
WAGE: $15.75/hourly
