Description
The Manager, Support Services reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
Responsibilities:
- Participates in recruiting, interviewing and hiring staff.
- Provides training, coaching and counseling to new and existing staff.
- Educates and trains staff on new products, equipment, hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
- Ensures that staff is competent to perform responsibilities; follows up on learning needs or performance problems.
- Coordinates, assigns and evaluates daily work, special functions and projects.
- Monitors the workload of staff and reassigns coverage as necessary.
- Assists the director in establishing performance standards; evaluates staff in collaboration with director.
- Recommends painting, repairs and reallocation of space to improve sanitation, appearance and effectiveness.
- Coordinates work with outside services and contractors, other departments and customers.
- Inventories and monitors use of chemicals, supplies and equipment; ensures all are operated and utilized in accordance with manufacturer recommendations.
- Provides assistance with safety and security issues; ensures building and office security by locking and checking doors and windows routinely.
Qualifications
Required:
- More than three up to five years of related work experience, demonstrating a broad knowledge of the job responsibilities and methods.
- 1 to 2 years specialized or technical training, or equivalent, following successful completion of high school.
