About the Role:
As the Director of Rooms at Lake Nona Wave Hotel, you will be the cornerstone of our guest experience, orchestrating a symphony of impeccable service and operational excellence. Your role is crucial in shaping the impression and satisfaction of our guests, overseeing all aspects of room management from front office operations to housekeeping. You will be the leader who inspires a team of dedicated professionals, driving innovation and setting new benchmarks in luxury hospitality. This position offers the unique opportunity to make a significant impact, ensuring that every guest encounter is a memorable one.
Responsibilities
- Leadership in Rooms Division: Direct and inspire teams across Front Office, Engineering, IT, Housekeeping, and Security.
- Staffing and Productivity Management: Align staffing with business forecasts and productivity goals.
- Operational Knowledge and Policy Adherence: Maintain comprehensive knowledge of hotel operations, policies, and room details.
- Guest Experience Enhancement: Ensure world-class service for VIPs and group arrivals, and proactively manage guest satisfaction.
- Financial and Operational Integrity: Monitor financial transactions, budget adherence, and operational efficiency.
- Change Management and Continuous Improvement: Drive innovation and adaptability in a dynamic hospitality environment.
- Team Development and Training: Lead and nurture staff through effective training and career development.
- Safety and Security Compliance: Uphold stringent safety and security standards for staff and guests.
- Guest and Team Member Support: Address and resolve challenges while maintaining professionalism and empathy.
Qualifications
- Hospitality or Business Degree: Bachelor’s preferred in a relevant field.
- Luxury Hospitality Experience: Minimum 5 years in a similar role, preferably in a high-rated hotel.
- Front Office & Housekeeping: Experience managing and developing both Front Office and Housekeeping teams, preferably in a luxury environment.
- Communication Skills: Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
- Industry Knowledge & Passion: Strong grasp of hotel management practices and passion for our technology-forward hotel.
- Leadership and Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional leadership qualities and customer service skills.
- Strategic Thinking: Proven ability in problem-solving, judgment, and decision-making.
- Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays when necessary.
