As a Waiter/Waitress of The Lake House Restaurant, you are responsible for contributing towards the overall success of the dining room and restaurant. You are expected to follow all LOWR policies and procedures as well as working towards fulfilling our mission, vision, and philosophy. This position is a fundamental role in creating an exceptional experience for LOWR guests. Your success will be measured through favorable reviews and your ability to meet stated objectives, while fulfilling the job responsibilities listed below.
General Responsibilities
· Greet and serve guests in a pleasant and friendly manner which creates an inviting atmosphere
· Answers any questions about food and drinks including ingredients and meal preparation
· Suggest additional menu items, such as appetizers, drinks and dessert when appropriate
· Effectively take food orders and repeat order to guests for clarification
· Obtain amenities for customers with specific needs, such as highchairs
· Learn and maintain knowledge of all menu items
· Present any pre-menu offerings if available, e.g., bread plate
· Processes orders on Point-of-Sale system quickly and in proper sequence by using Micros order language and appropriate abbreviations and charges
· Attend to guest needs when delivering food, communicate with guests to ensure a high level of guest satisfaction, while continuing to observe any additional needs
· Maintain table appearance by pre-bussing, checking drink levels, removing clutter and providing extra napkins if necessary
· Total bill and present check upon removal of last plate or upon request
· Accepts payment and provides change or credit card receipt within 3-4 minutes of payment
· Responds calmly to angry guests and informs manager immediately
· Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
· Follows appropriate accounting procedures for closing checks and vouchers
· Ensures that credit cards are not left in guest check folder
· Offer a warm and pleasant farewell to guests and invite them to return
· Keeps station clean, sets up and takes down station appropriately
· Attends shift meetings according to shift schedules
· Adheres to company alcoholic beverage and sanitation policies
· At end of shift balance financial transactions and deposit cash due and required documentation according to company policies and procedures
· Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and take prompt corrective action where necessary
· Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner
· Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate, which will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity and efficiency, and effectiveness.
· Adhere to grooming and appearance standards
· Comply with all LOWR company policies and facilitate necessary company policies
and procedures as required by the company
· All other responsibilities assigned by management

Qualifications
· Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a high-volume operation
Physical Requirements
· Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability as well as visual acuity
· Frequently lift/carry up to 20 lbs.
