Lake Superior Consulting is seeking a Project Scheduler to join our team!
This is an entry to mid-level scheduler/project controls role responsible the itemized bullets below. This includes maintaining CPM schedules, baselines, cost controls, coordination, and updates. This candidate must have the ability to work independently, present schedule/ cost updates and recommendations for corrective action to be taken, and effectively communicate opportunities and risks within the schedule or project controls to ensure milestones and deadlines are met.
Responsibilities:
- Familiar with project management and Critical Path Methodology (CPM) principles and techniques.

Creates, maintains, and updates multiple project schedules; including but not limited to:
- Resource loaded schedules.
- Cost and budget loaded schedules.
- Develop Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and activity coding.
- Assist project team(s) with resource forecasting, resource leveling and resource workload.
- Generate schedule risk models for ongoing risk assessments performs schedule "what-if" analysis
- Coordinates schedule status and facilitates project schedule meetings with project leads, multiple levels of management, and subcontractors.
- Assist with project coordination from Job Number Request (JNR) through closeout process.
- Prepare complex reports in Excel for internal and external distribution.
- Process complex billing on portfolio of projects.
- Timely and accurate entry of all invoices into ERP system
- Obtain all invoice supporting documentation and approval prior to entry into A/P system, per Delegation of Authority matrix
- Research, resolve and correspond with suppliers for invoice discrepancies or inquiries
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, business administration, or closely related field and schedule or project management experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. High School Diploma required.
- Well organized and ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing.
- Analytical skills with ability to dissect problems and quickly develop solutions.
- Proven computer skills and knowledge with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Preferred skills and experience:
- Experience working in a planning or scheduling position.
- Familiarity with Project Management Institute (PMI) project management principles and techniques.
- Experience managing projects with Microsoft Projects.
- Familiarity with Primavera 6 Professional/ EPPM Version/ Primavera Cloud
