Job Summary:
The Program Manager in the manufacturing industry directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority in the program management of new product introductions and current product maintenance. The primary focus is to ensure compliance with internal and customer timing, cost, product design, and APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) requirements. This involves overseeing and performing various duties, either personally or through subordinate employees, to drive successful program execution.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Establish and implement program management methodologies, tools, and processes to ensure efficient project execution.
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and proactively implement mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, quality assurance, and supply chain, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders.
- Conduct regular project status meetings and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to project milestones, budget constraints, and quality standards.
- Evaluate project outcomes, identify areas for improvement, and implement lessons learned for future projects.
- Provide leadership for customer and internal new product launch programs.
- Develop methods for the planning and tracking of product implementation programs for internal and customer review and presentation.
- Develop procedures and documentation to support new product launch and APQP requirements.
- Coordinate product build plans and resources and resolve conflicts, relative to program timing and delivery of preproduction products.
- Manage the Engineering Build Area, ensuring its smooth operation and adherence to program requirements.
- Perform miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned and required.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in program or project management within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and operations.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
