This position qualifies for a $5,000 Sign-On-Bonus after completing 90 days of employment.
The Speech Therapist responsibilities include assessment of children 0-3 years of age, interpreting test results; development of service plans; performance of speech and language treatment services; and documentation of services. Provide speech/language services under a SLP. Successful candidate must be knowledgeable of an array of services, and their interrelationship within a treatment regimen, including but not limited to service coordination/targeted case management, developmental services, physical and occupational therapy, speech and language pathology, nutrition services, psychological services, family education and family counseling, vision and hearing services, respite services, natural environments, transition services, and complaint procedures. Also, must have knowledge of child development and developmental milestones. Position requires extensive travel within Hunt, Lamar, Delta, Hopkins, Titus, Camp, Morris and Franklin counties service areas using personal vehicle (or Center-owned vehicle, when available) to provide services at client homes, and to provide transportation for client families, as required.
Requirements: Bachelor's level SLPA or Master's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Speech Therapy, and current Texas licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant or Speech & Language Pathologist, plus one year of work experience, in a school or agency setting with children who are developmentally delayed, medically fragile, or who have specific developmental disabilities. Must have a valid Texas driver's license and acceptable driving record, as well as personal automobile liability insurance as required by the state of Texas.
Preferred Qualifications: Master's level SLP-CCC. Knowledge of ECI philosophy; and two years of work experience providing speech-language and oral motor therapy to the pediatric population. Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) with fluent Spanish language skills.
Salary: $31.25/hourly-$44.62/hourly (Depending on Qualifications)
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8-5 (Flex)
Eligible for Stipend if bilingual and obtain certification $100/monthly.
