The Helper is responsible for working with the driver of the truck to assist in refuse collection.
Responsibilities

Ride along with driver to help pick up refuse on route

Read maps, diagrams and route sheet in order to follow a designated daily route

Ability to operate controls and collection equipment

Complete daily vehicle inspections, fueling and fluid level checks

Complete required daily service tickets and reports
-
Report any mechanical programs with equipment

Complete daily reports, logs, load/yardage, and load ticket receipts

Other duties as assigned
Qualifications / Knowledge / Critical Skills

Legally eligible to work in the United States.
-
Must be at least 18 years of age.
-
Must not have any license suspensions within the last 2 years.

No more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years.

Must successfully complete pre-employment testing.
-
Must be able to read and speak the English language well enough to communicate, understand, and respond to questions, directions, traffic signs, signals, and safety training.

Exposure to extreme weather conditions.

Exposure to residential and commercial waste.

Possible exposure to high traffic conditions while outside of the vehicle.
