Reporting to the Executive Director team, this position will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations and administration of Lakewood Montessori School including, but not limited to, recruiting/hiring staff, property maintenance, marketing, financial management, and communication with owner and faculty at schools.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
- Degree in early childhood development or related field
- Texas Directors License
- Montessori Certification preferred
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience of classroom experience
- Strong Leadership and administrative skills
- Love for children and passion for teaching
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Develops and implements center operating policies and activities as required which conform with Lakewood Montessori Academic standards and state requirements
2. Manages the scheduling of staff in classrooms to ensure adequate staff to student ratios are maintained
3. Manages staff time off requests in a manner to ensure classroom ratio compliance and other business operational needs are met.
4. Manages compliance programs for the center to ensure all center operations, activities and staff performance following local, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
5. Plans, develops, schedules, and/or provide in-service training and evaluation of childcare staff including CPR and First Aid.
6. Oversees the school’s curriculum coordination among the educators and assisting with implementation
7. Manages staff performance through coaching and corrective action, when appropriate.
8. Ensures that problems encountered by staff are addressed timely and appropriately in accordance with company policy, procedure, and practice.
9. Ensures all incoming and outgoing calls, voice messages, and emails are handled and addressed appropriately and timely through proper delegation of administrative duties to assigned administrative staff.
10. Supervises activities performed by onsite staff including kitchen and housekeeping staff.
11. Ensures all parents, guests and visits are greeted in a professional, courtesy and hospital manner.
12. Administers and manages workforce parent copays.
13. Conducts classroom walk-thrus to ensure schedules, curriculum, policies, procedures and best practices are consistently applied in accordance with company standard operating procedures.
14. Coaches and assists staff in addressing routine child behavior issues and handles escalated child behavior issues timely and appropriately.
15. Recruits and schedules children to attend the center for services
16. Maintains accurate and complete records for child enrollments, waiting lists, attendance, immunizations, incidents, and other related activity.
17. Interfaces with parents and guardians on a regular basis to ensure adequate communication and updates are provided in relation to child progress and activity and center related information and updates.
18. Addresses routine questions and concerns from parents and guardians, and escalates non-routine matters to the Executive Director.
19. Participates in conducting marketing campaigns, fund raising, and public relations with parents, prospective attendees of the center, and within the community Be flexible and able to work as a team member
20. Ensures supply and equipment levels are maintained adequately and in proper safe working order.
21. Manages staff and child safety program at the center.
22. Prepares and maintains administrative, business, and billing reports and records for the center to include recording fee payments, preparing billing reports, and taking follow up actions as required for any late payments.
23. Assists with annual budgeting and forecasts for the center in accordance with business goals
24. Directs the organization and follow-up of special activities such as off-campus field trips.
25. Performs other duties as assigned.
