Job Summary

As the Director of Sales for Club and Mass channels at Lala US, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to drive revenue and market share growth within the club and mass retail segments. You will lead an analytics and replenishment support team, collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and finance teams, and cultivate strong relationships with highly strategic customers for Lala US. This role requires a dynamic leader with a proven track record of success in sales management, deep understanding of the retail landscape, and a passion for the dairy industry.

Responsibilities / Duties

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue and profit targets within the club and mass channels.
  • Lead, coach, and motivate a team of execute sales plans and exceed targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Walmart, Target, Sam’s, Costco and BJ’s, negotiating terms, and securing placement of our products in-store and online.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional programs, product launches, and marketing campaigns tailored to club and mass retailers.
  • Monitor market trends, consumer preferences, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats within the club and mass retail landscape.
  • Work closely with the operations team to ensure adequate inventory levels, timely order fulfillment, and efficient distribution to meet customer demand.
  • Analyze sales data and performance metrics to track progress against goals, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Develop annual sales forecasts, budgets, and business plans for the club and mass channels, and provide regular updates to senior management.

Work Experience / Knowledge

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in sales management, preferably in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth in club and mass retail channels.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated in a home office environment
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Nielsen, Retail Link, Madrid

Formal Education

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.

Working Conditions

  • Normally works a regular schedule of hours, however hours may vary depending on the time of year (line review season, etc)
  • Must be open to travel 10 - 15% of time
