Tax Associate
Job Posting for Tax Associate at Lally & Co.
We seek to add a dedicated, motivated, and positive individual to our team to fill the full-time role of Associate in our Tax Group. This position deals with quality clientele, has minimal travel, and offers significant career opportunities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Working in a team environment to prepare individual and business tax returns
- Assist team with tax planning, communicating with clients, meeting deadlines, and tax workpaper preparation
- Assist with IRS and state tax audits as well as responding to tax notices
- Develop and utilize research skills to resolve client tax and accounting issues
- Develop a working understanding of professional standards as well as the Internal Revenue Code
Qualifications, Abilities and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and eligible to sit for the CPA exam
- Reliable, strong work ethic, ability to prioritize to meet tight deadlines, and a commitment to exceptional client service, and ability to work as a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to organize questions and proactively interact with senior level staff
- Proven skills using Microsoft Office applications. A working knowledge of ProSystem fx Tax or Axcess Tax is a plus
