What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Project Manager, Data Science position at Lam Research?
As a Data Science lead in Enterprise Analytics group at Lam Research you will be responsible for leading Data Science hub initiatives. You will partner with Business unit spoke organizations and the Digital Transformation office implementing DT AI/ML initiatives across enterprise. Additionally, you will also lead in nurturing AI/ML talent, create communities where AI experts can share best practices, and implement processes for AI/ML development across the organization. You will be responsible for prioritization of AI initiatives across the Digital Transformation landscape and drive the AI/ML implementation anchoring on the business value.
- Implement the Data Science hub vision and strategy for Lam
- Ensure that the Data Sciencehub guidelines, processes, standards are implemented and leveraged by spoke organizations.
- Provides governance of common data science products, services, technology
- Leads in demand and capacity management and prioritizes cross-spoke initiatives.
- Leads the program and project management function for data science hub, drives agile mindset and culture and provides governance and oversight.
- Provides scaling capabilities to the solutions team.
- Develop strong partnerships with internal/external stakeholders to ensure support for successful delivery of projects.
- Accurate, timely and transparent communication of process, project status, and other relevant information to key stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 10-12years of management experience.
- 10 years of experience in leading cross-functional programs in the AI/ML space in a global company and delivering end to end data science solutions.
- At least 7 years of Program and Project management experience.
- At least 5 years of experience managing projects in data and AI/ML space.
- Ability to navigate under ambiguity in a matrix organization.
- Hands on experience with agile systems like JIRA, Confluence, Azure Devops.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science, Analytics or in a relevant Engineering discipline.
CA San Francisco Bay Area - Salary Range for this position: $146,000- $307,000.
The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
