Painter

Job description: We are currently seeking a full time versatile and skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in painting, patching, basic drywall repair, and have secondary skills in general handyman tasks. This role requires a proactive individual who can effectively contribute to various construction projects by delivering high-quality painting and repair services.

Job Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

1. Painting: Apply paint, stain, and other finishes to various surfaces, including walls, ceilings, trim, and fixtures, ensuring consistent coverage and adherence to project specifications.
2. Patching & Repair: Perform patching and basic repair work on drywall, plaster, and other surfaces to address imperfections, holes, and cracks, ensuring a smooth and uniform finish.
3. Surface Preparation: Prepare surfaces for painting and repair work by cleaning, sanding, filling gaps, and applying primer as necessary to achieve optimal results.
4. Drywall Installation: Assist with basic drywall installation tasks, including measuring, cutting, fitting, and securing drywall panels in place as needed.
5. Handyman Tasks: Utilize secondary handyman skills to perform a variety of tasks such as minor carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance work to support construction projects as required.
6. Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain painting tools, drywall equipment, and other construction tools to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
7. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, including the proper handling of tools, equipment, and hazardous materials, to maintain a safe work environment.
8. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with construction team members, including contractors, supervisors, and project managers, to coordinate work schedules, prioritize tasks, and ensure project objectives are met efficiently.
9. Client Communication: Communicate professionally with clients to understand project requirements, provide updates on work progress, and address any questions or concerns in a timely manner.

Job Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in painting, patching, and basic drywall repair, with demonstrated proficiency in delivering high-quality workmanship.
• Skills: Strong painting skills with the ability to prepare surfaces, apply finishes, and achieve precise results. Proficiency in patching and repairing drywall, plaster, and other surfaces. Secondary skills in general handyman tasks are highly desirable.
• Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify and address imperfections, inconsistencies, and repair needs effectively.
• Physical Stamina: Good physical stamina and dexterity to perform painting, patching, and repair tasks, including lifting heavy materials, standing for extended periods, and working in various environmental conditions.
• Safety Consciousness: Thorough understanding of safety protocols and regulations related to construction work, including knowledge of proper tool usage, equipment operation, and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage.
• Communication: Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of project requirements and expectations.
• Reliability: Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic and commitment to meeting project deadlines and quality standards.
• Estimating experience is a plus!

Physical Requirements:

• The ability to lift 50 pounds regularly in all directions and up to 100 pounds on occasion.
• The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
• The ability to safely climb ladders, stairs, ramps, etc.

Salary : $23 - $25
