Position Overview
This position serves as the Staff Accountant for Lambert. The Staff Accountant will report directly to the Controller and will assist in managing all finances. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of standard accounting practices.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible and accountable for managing all bookkeeping functions
- Oversee day-to-day processing of accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Perform month-end close procedures
- Bank reconciliations
- Expense reporting and credit card reconciliations
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data
- Tech savvy with the ability to adapt to new software, including design and implementation.
- Ability to produce reports/graphs/charts/tables in Word, Excel and/or PowerPoint
- Special projects and/or project management experience beneficial
- Strong organizational skills along with effective time management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Customer focused; team oriented
- High integrity and honesty. Ability to set and manage priorities
- Self-starter, able to work with minimal direction or supervision
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting or business
- 2-4 years of accounting experience in a high paced environment (PR and Marketing agency preferred)
