Quest Instructor

Lambs Farm is dedicated to helping people with developmental disabilities lead productive, happy lives and connecting with the human spirit in us all. We are looking for Quest Instructor who can instruct classes for both quest and venture programs.

Responsibilities:

• Instruct classes for both Quest and Venture programs
• Implement program activities in accordance to program curriculum and instructions received from supervisor.
• Incorporate active treatment programming into daily instructional activities.
• Attend training sessions as assigned.
• Comply with standards in regards to crisis intervention, disaster drills, infection control, safety procedures, personnel and other agency procedures.
• Provide programmatic data and documentation as assigned.  This includes, but is not limited to: attendance reports, incident reports, accident reports, seizure reports and tracking sheets.
• Attend and participate in program meetings.
• Assist in program development.  This includes generating ideas for new classes and curriculum based upon observation of participants’ responses to programs and expressed interests.
• Research and develop curriculum for classes and submit for approval in a timely manner.  This includes developing an outline that incorporates the flexibility needed for working with varying levels of clientele.
• Prepare lesson plans for each class. 
• Responsible for class preparation and making class needs known to supervisor in a timely manner. This includes but is not limited to: class supplies, budgetary needs, transportation needs and other special requests.
• Help maintain classroom upkeep.
• Any and all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• One to two years related experience is preferred
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record
• High school diploma or equivalent
