We're currently hiring a Reach Truck Operator to join our growing Distribution Center Team. This role is responsible for moving inventory needed for shipping in a safe efficient manner ensuring accuracy.
Job Responsibilities/Duties:
- Uses RF device to scan pallet labels and put away received inventory into storage racks based upon system directed put away logic while operating an Order Picker or High Reach truck.
- Uses RF device to scan cases or pallets in order to replenish pick locations while operating an Order Pick or High Reach truck
- Uses RF device to scan location, pull product for internet customer and store orders while operating an Order Picker or High Reach truck.
- Ensures accurate selection by using RF device to scan locations and affix labels on cartons.
- Reports discrepancies and/or product damages during the put away, replenishment or order pulling process.
- Works cooperatively with others to maintain accuracy and productivity goals.
- Puts safety at the forefront and adheres to all company policies and procedures regarding safety and safe operation of equipment.
- Maintains a neat work area and consistently carries out assigned housekeeping duties.
- Participates in continuous process improvements.
- Performs other tasks/duties as assigned by management.
Job Skills and Requirements:
- Collaborate with supervisors and management to achieve common goals.
- Interact with supervisors and management personnel.
- Work in a team environment to support common goals.
- Read and write English legibly
- Basic math skills including measuring and documenting dimensions
- Warehouse safety procedures including safe lifting techniques required.
- Knowledge of warehouse and standard operating procedures required
Equipment Requirements:
- Use of RF devices and Material Handling Equipment such as pallet jacks (electric/manual), and powered forklift (sit down/stand up/order picker) required
Physical Requirements:
- Regular attendance at the distribution facility is required.
- Capable to work overtime when needed.
- Ability to continuously lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Work in extreme temperature environments.
