Dietary Director

Lancaster Behavioral Health Hospital (LBHH) is a 126-bed, inpatient psychiatric hospital and start-up joint venture between Lancaster General Health/Penn Medicine and Universal Health Services.

In addition to a general adult unit and dedicated adolescent unit, the facility offers services for treating those with co-occurring disorders on the psychiatric-medical unit, an intensive adult unit to care for those with severe conditions, as well as a women’s trauma unit.

The Director of Dietary is responsible for completing the following duties and tasks:

• Maintain application of State, Federal, and Joint Commission standards for Dietary Department.
• Perform personnel management duties including screening and selection of dietary staff, providing department orientation and training, completing performance evaluations and giving feedback to Human Resources office.
• Responsible for dietary work schedule.
• Serve as Dietary Department’s fiscal manager by submitting budget and adhering to FTE standards.
• Schedule balanced and nutritional menus to be served to patients and supervise the food preparation. Receive input from dietitian regarding specialized menus.

• Associate’s degree in related field or equivalent combined education and experience.
• Two years of dietary experience in a leadership role required.
