What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receiver position at Lancaster?
JOB SUMMARY:
The Receiving Clerk will efficiently unload, segregate, and verify products which arrive to the warehouse. In addition, this position will maintain the highest level of accuracy while maintaining production levels which meet or exceed established standards. This position will also work to resolve all discrepancies with Purchasing in a timely manner including communication via email, Eclipse Job Queues, and phone. The Receiving Clerk will also contribute to a safe and clean work environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain an acceptable attendance record
- Utilize RF (Radio Frequency) scanners to verify that the product matches what is expected from the Eclipse system
- Perform at levels equal to or exceeding company production efficiency standards
- Verify items at accuracy levels equal to or exceeding established company standards
- Segregate received good in a neat and orderly way so as to maximize the accuracy and efficiency of the Stockers
- Report any incorrect products or counts to the area supervisor
- Unload items safely to ensure items remain undamaged. Immediately report damaged product discovered prior to unloading to area supervisor to avoid bringing in bad merchandise
- Ensure that items being received are neat, clean, and in good condition
- Ensure that hazardous items entering the warehouse are properly identified
- Actively participates in a safe work environment by following company safety rules and expecting the same out of their coworkers
- Actively participates in a clean work environment by maintaining their work area and expecting the same out of their coworkers
- Promotes a team environment through cooperation, positive attitude, and professionalism when dealing with coworkers, supervision, customers, sales, and corporate
- Ability to utilize effective verbal and written communications including legible handwriting
- Ability to work necessary hours including overtime when needed due to workload volumes
- Performs other duties as assigned
M*INIMUM REQUIREMENTS: *
- High school diploma
- RF knowledge a plus
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Basic computer knowledge/skill level
- Perform basic mathematical functions
- Ability to follow orders with minimal supervision
- Ability to effectively communicate with management, co-workers, and customers
- Certified to operate forklift
EQUIPMENT AND MACHINES:
Hand truck, pallet jack, various forklift equipment, and computer as required
