Title: Research Scientist Microbiologist- Life Sciences
Duration: 5 months (possibility to extend longer)
Location: Neenah, WI
Description:
MUST HAVE Microbiology experience:
1. Bachelors or MS Degree in Microbiology or related field with lab experience
2. Expertise in culturing, propagating, enumerating, and analyzing microorganisms including fungi, bacteria, and/or viruses. Ability to prepare media and support laboratory management.
Required Qualifications:
• B.S. in one of the biological sciences with laboratory expertise in cellular biology and/or microbiology and biomedical engineering.
• Experience working in a BSL-2 lab and culturing primary cells and/or tissue explants, including media development.
• Experience conducting cell-based assays, cytokine quantification, ELISA, qRT-PCR.
• Fluent in efficiently executing laboratory protocols with a high attention to detail
• Evidence of quickly learning biological assays/methods, assisting with protocol standardization, and performing robust data analysis to deliver results.
• Able to maintain a safe work environment appropriate for a biological laboratory (BSL-2).
• Excellent communication skills with ability to influence projects and partner direction thru oral and written means.
• Working knowledge of appropriate computer software such as Windows suite, especially Excel for data recording and graphing.
• Proven record of successful results working in multi-disciplinary, cross-functional teams
